Day 2 of ArmchairBEA explores what we believe were the top 5 books we've read so far this year.
For me, this is really hard since I've already read over 100 books!
SO, I'm going to pick some 4-5 star rated books and share them with you.
Chosen One's by Tiffany Truitt
Rhiannon Frater's The Last Bastion of the Living
Lies Beneath by Anne Greenwood Brown
The Janus Affair by Pip Ballantine/Tee Morris
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
Like I said above, I've read a bunch of books this year and there have been a whole
lot of excellent choices that I've picked out from Edelweiss, and Netgalley.
Love to hear your thoughts!
The Janus Affair looks sooo good!! I'm loving today's AC BEA exercise, but my TBR list is starting to overwhelm me Lol!
ReplyDeleteI have a huge sticky note just filled with titles that I'm finding out from all these blogs too :) Hahs, I understand your overwhelming feelings!
DeleteWhat a thrilling bunch of books! Unfortunately, I've got a weak heart for these types of books >_< Chosen Ones sounds a do-able though, haha :)
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Armchair BEA!

Hi and Happy Armchair BEA to you. :)
ReplyDeleteWHAT LIES BENEATH sounds like an interesting book, I have it on my Kindle so maybe I'll have to move it up my TBR pile.
Lies Beneath looks fascinating. And somewhat creepy - but in an interesting way. IT's going on the to-read list. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've got quiet a great list of books that I haven't read...I've been seeing a lot of that ;)! I have Lies Beneath to read but i haven't gotten to it yet!

Great picks... I'll be reading The Last Bastion of the Living very soon. Got my blog tour stop coming up. :) Glad to hear it's great!
ReplyDeleteHere are my favs!
I have to agree with Code Name Verity! I absolutely loved it and really would love to reread it sometime soon. I need to read Lies Beneath soon; it sounds really good. :D
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to read Code Name Verity since I first heard about it! I own it, just need to find time to read it!
ReplyDeleteA few of my fellow Litbrarians and I really enjoyed Lies Beneath. I'll have to check out a few of the other ones you listed. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great BEA-filled week!

The Book Hookup's Best of 2012
Not familiar with the books on your list but I see a theme with LIES BENEATH starting to grow as I visit other Armchair BEA blogs.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these, but I really need to! I will, at least, be starting Lies Beneath soon. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Lies Beneath as well! I've also got a Rhiannon Frater book sitting on my shelf, waiting to be read, and I've heard nothing but glowing reviews for her work!
