This weeks question is actually an interesting one for me. How many different directions can I take my response? What books would I truly consider Top Ten material to share with you? In truth, I haven't been blogging as long as others. So, in essence, I would have to start pre-June 2012 with my choices. Here's what I came up with!
1. Archangel's Blade by Nalini Singh (Guild Hunter # 4)
Let me be honest, I loved this book even better than I did Raphael and Elena's.
I loved the interaction between Honor and Dmitri as well as the story at a whole!
2. Firelight by Kristen Callihan (Darkest London # 1)
The first book in a series isn't always the best, but in this case, I absolutely adored
Kristen's writing. I have since fallen madly, deeply in love with this series!
3. Torrent by Lisa T. Bergren (River of Time # 3)
The last book of the trilogy. Loved these characters. Gabi and Lia are awesome, but
who can forget Marcello? Love the fact that this is a historical told in Italy.
4. Third Grave Dead Ahead by Darynda Jones (Charley Davidson # 3)
You could say that I love this entire series especially Charley and Reyes. I adore the
secondary characters like Cookie as well. Need more Charley now please!
5. Head Rush by Carolyn Crane (The Disillusionists #3)
This is actually the LAST book in the trilogy. After the second book, I was all in a huff
and angry and needed this book now! Carolyn wrapped up the trilogy beautifully!
6. The Renfield Syndrome by J.A. Saare (Rhiannon's Law # 2)
This is the most controversial book of the series. The story changes so many different
dynamics for the characters, including Rhiannon, that you can't help but ache for the third installment.
7. A Monster Calls by Patrick Hess/Siobhan Dowd
One of the best books I've ever read! It's truly emotional, heart breaking, you will
need a box of Kleenex while reading this well written novel. Highly recommended!
8. Flesh and Blood by Kristen Painter (House of Comarre # 2)
I could actually say that I have enjoyed each and every book in this series.
I love Kristen's writing. I do whatever is necessary, including begging, to grab
the next book. Will be sad when this series concludes this year.
9. Spellbent by Lucy A. Snyder (Jessie Shimmer #1)
It's sad when a series, or trilogy doesn't gather a lot of followers or readership.
I loved this particular book because it was dark, action packed, and had a kick-ass
heroine. Plus, this cover rocks!
10. Angel Town by Lilith Saintcrow (Jill Kismet # 6)
This was the last book in the series and it wrapped up the series in such a way
that it really left me satisfied. The evil was defeated, and Jill got her HEA as hoping.
These are my TOP 10 Favorite Pre-Blogging Books. What are yours?
I really need to start the GUILD HUNTER and CHARLEY DAVIDSON series!
