"A day in the life of Juliana Haygert as Buffy"--because you mention it was your dream in your bio to be Buffy

A day in the life of Juliana Haygert as Buffy. My oh my. Let’s see.
I roll out of my bed, running late for my morning class (college class, mind you). While stumbling out of my bedroom, I remember to load my tote with stakes and pencils and a notebook. And my kindle.
On my way to class, Xander catches up with me, complaining about the latest girl who rejected him. I pretend to listen while I check my phone for any messages from Angel (because I still prefer Angel to Spike). Nothing. Ugh.

Willow arrives in the classroom three seconds late and gets the evil eye from our dubious English professor. She glares back at him. The lecture starts and Willow writes me a mile long note about the newest weird thing in town—and, while reading and pretending to pay attention, I try to write about cute, normal girls falling in love with cute, normal guys on my notebook.

After class, we meet with Giles and discuss about the new wicked development Willow mentioned on her note. This time I don’t get away with writing about my cute, normal characters, because Giles knows me too well and takes my notebook away from me.
At night, Xander, Willow and I patrol the town’s cemetery, trying to find a lead about the rumor of a big vile thing coming. As usual, Xander cowards behind the tombstones each time an odd noise or crack resonates through the chilly air. Willow talks magic and I dream about my cute, normal girl on a romantic date with my cute, normal guy.

Willow gets bored and does everything she can to frighten Xander, including chasing him down to the darkest parts of the cemetery. A couple of minutes after they are gone, an ugly and clueless vampire jumps out at me. Really? Haven’t he heard about me? We fight—he gets a couple of punches in, the bastard—but then I roundhouse kick him I the jaw and he stumbles into something. A big something that just stepped out of the shadows. Hm, not a something. A someone. Angel.

Angel holds the vampire and I easily stake the creep. His dust floats away and, as if nothing happened, Angel looks down at me with adoring eyes and I smile.

And then I wake up, realize it was just a dream and go back to my own characters—sometimes cute, normal ones, sometimes cute, oddly magical ones ;)

Ha, what a crazy topic! Hope you like it! Thanks for having me over!

AUTHOR BIO:
While Juliana Haygert dreams of being Wonder Woman, Buffy, or a blood elf shadow priest, she settles for the less exciting—but equally gratifying—life of a wife, mother, and author. Thousands of miles away from her former home in Brazil, she now resides in Connecticut and spends her days writing about kick-ass heroines and the heroes who drive them crazy.
Synopsis:
Thirty years in the future, a sinister New York City exists in permanent darkness.
A student at the secured NYU, nineteen-year-old Nadine has visions of Victor Gianni, an imaginary guy she has real feelings for. Afraid of being truly insane, she explains the visions away as simple daydreams, but she can no longer deny them when she bumps into Victor in real life. But this Victor doesn’t know her, and turns her away. After the encounter, Nadine’s visions change to those of eerie fates, gods she’s never heard of, demons with sharp claws they are not too timid to use … and instructions.
To discover if she’s losing her mind, Nadine follows the vague directions—with the real, rude and reluctant Victor—leading to a man who knows it all: Nadine can restore an ancient creed by unveiling the clues on her visions, and bring sunlight and peace to the world again. But that’s only if the demons and the other evil forces behind the darkness don’t stop her first.
