As I put together this post, I am very aware that at any moment the power might go off and I'll be stuck for possibly days without it. I'm not making light of the situation folks. This, unfortunately, isn't my first Hurricane that I've decided to ride out instead of seeking shelter, or fleeing Westward. I've now lived in Florida for 16 years and this is the biggest one yet.
Update: Power went out from 1:03pm on Friday, until 3:00pm on Sunday. I say we got lucky considering there was no damage to my apartment, or my car, or the parking cover. There was heavy damage in some areas, leaves, and branches in our parking lot. The biggest complaint we are all having is Florida drivers. Whenever a light is out, it is a FOUR WAY STOP! You stop, you give the person on your right the chance to go first, then you proceed. It doesn't give you the right to blow through intersections and causing even more grief and damage because you may be in a hurray to get some place.
This book haul is actually for the past TWO weeks. I didn't feel like overburdening anyone with a massive book haul last week. So, here we are!

Hope everything goes okay! This Matthew business is scary! I mean Disney actually closed! I didn't think they did that! LOL! Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteAnd wow!!! Awesome haul!! Seeing lots of 2017 books I cannot wait to read! A lot of those book 2 to duologies I am waiting to binge! I did it with Six of Crows and already am thanking myself for it as I read Crooked Kingdom now! So I'll be looking forward to starting/finishing Higgins' and Jordan's duologies soonish. Though I don't know when I will actually get around to reading them! Sooo behind on all the books! LOL!
Happy Reading!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
