Averting the apocalypse was only the beginning.

Three months after saving the world, Ezri is still finding the balance between being the Savior and a cop. When young girls in the magical community go missing, she doesn’t hesitate to take the case. Not when one of the victims is her partner’s niece.

The investigation leads her back into the orbit of her greatest enemy. With leads drying up, Ezri needs all the allies she can get. But can she trust the new FBI agent assigned to the case? Will the rapidly shrinking window to bring the girls home alive close before Ezri can summon enough power to counteract the dark magic at play?

Summer's Stolen is the second installment in author Sara Biglow's Seasons of Magic. 3 months have passed since Boston Police Detective Ezri Trenton stopped the evil from taking over the world. Ezri, also known as the Savior, is trying to balance her work as a cop as well as the magical community’s expectations of her as their prophesied Savior. Things have changed a bit. She's no longer hostile to the Authority who she blamed for doing nothing to help investigate her own mothers murder.

She's got J.T. Somers back in her life, her relationship with her cousin, Desmond, is back on solid ground, and her partner Detective Jacquie DeWitt hasn't revealed the fact that Ezri has magic. Ezri has also taken her place on the magical community’s council which was once her mothers. But, now another threat is upon Ezri and another deadline is quickly approaching. The summer solstice is fast approaching. It's a time when light magic will be at its most powerful and dark magic is waning.

She is approached by Belladonna Montes, a member of the Authority, who claims her son Adrian has gone missing. Then another child is taken, and another, and another until 2 of them are returned with no memories of what happened to them or who took them. Darkness is once again working against Ezri in the form of the Order of Samael. As the clock ticks down, Ezri and her allies must find the remaining lost girl and bring her home quickly or part of the darkness that has infected Ezri takes her over and she is swayed to the Order's way of thinking.

Surprisingly, Ezri reaches an agreement with FBI Agent Molly Cartwright who ends up learning more about magic and the dangers the Order provides in a short amount of time. I call it surprising since a former FBI agent was responsible for all sorts of terrible things that happened in the previous installment and now sits in prison. Ezri comes from the descendants of the Salem Witch Trials. Some of the women gave themselves to help Ezri in the previous installment. The necklace she wears around her neck carries the ability to give her powers a boost.

Another action packed story of good vs evil in the magical world, whilst mixing it in with real world police work. I would suggest that readers take each book as it is released and read them in order. This series is obviously based on the four seasons; Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. We started with Spring and will end with Winter. The plot surrounds the fact that the Order wants to resurrect some seriously nasty Druids and it is up to Ezri to stop them at any cost.
