A reckoning all have feared.

And a love more powerful than fate. All hail the king and queen of Hell.

Emilia is reeling from a shocking discovery about her sister, Vittoria. But before she faces the demons of her past, Emilia yearns to claim her king, the seductive Prince of Wrath, in the flesh. She doesn’t just desire his body; she wants his heart and soul—but that’s something the enigmatic demon can’t promise her.

When a high-ranking member of House Greed is assassinated, damning evidence somehow points to Vittoria as the murderer. Now, Emilia will do anything to get to the bottom of these accusations against the sister she thought she knew.

Together, Emilia and Wrath play a sin-fueled game of deception to solve the murder and stop the unrest that’s brewing between witches, demons, shape-shifters, and the most treacherous foes of all: the Feared. Emilia was warned that when it came to the Wicked, nothing was as it seemed. But have the true villains been much closer all along?

Kerri Maniscalco's Kingdom of the Feared is the third and final installment in the authors Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy. There may be slight spoilers ahead since this books events take place right after Kingdom of the Cursed. The story actually begins 20 years ago with a woman named Sofia Santorini being betrayed and cursed by someone she knew. Emilia di Carlo, who has sold her soul to become Queen of the Wicked, just learned that there's absolutely nothing that makes sense any longer, especially after her sister Vittoria is actually alive.

When a high-ranking member of House Greed is assassinated, Emilia and Wrath are drawn to the rival demon court. Damning evidence points to Vittoria as the murderer and she’s quickly declared an enemy of the Seven Circles. Despite her betrayal, Emilia will do anything to solve this new mystery and find out who her sister really is. Together Emilia and Wrath play a sin-fueled game of deception as they work to stop the unrest that’s brewing between witches, demons, shape-shifters and the most treacherous foes of all: the Feared.

This story is charged with revealing some seriously mind blowing revelations that will make readers sit up and say, wow. As the plot progresses, everything we thought we knew and understood completely falls apart and, instead, we finally get the right pieces to put the puzzle together. Emilia not only has to figure out what Vittoria is up to with her games she's playing with certain Princes of Hell, as well as witches, and vampires, and werewolves, but she also has to accept that her entire life before she made the fateful choice to become Queen has been a lie.

To top it off, Emilia has learned that the First Witch created a Blade of Ruination that can kill Wrath who she also cursed. I found the revelations as to who the sisters actually were to be a fun twist in the series finale. Pretty much means that both sisters are really powerful, and there's not much they can't do if they work together. Emilia has gone from being a timid witch with little control over her magic to a strong, powerful, and feisty character. The demon princes, especially Envy, Pride, and Lust, are finally revealed about their histories, their motivations, and their personalities. And, to top it off, the romance between Emilia and Samael riches a climax in a good way.
