Feature & Follow Friday # 23


Feature & Follow Friday is a meme co-run by Rachel from Parajunkee and

Question of the week:

WHAT STARTED YOU BLOGGING?

Answer:

My answer is plain and simple. I joined Goodreads in 2009 and became enamored with
the fact that people were actually following MY reviews! Of course, due to
circumstances that were totally stupid on my part, I waited 2 more years before finally
creating my own blog. Naturally it was a piece of crap! :O) Thanks to Mariya Davis, my
blog is now respectful enough where I can actually post my thoughts, reviews, and other
fun stuff. One day, hopefully, I too shall make a mark on the very large blogging world!

And, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

    Great answer! I found out about goodreads like a week after I started blogging and I thought it was the best thing ever.Glad you finally took the plunge into blogging and enjoyed it :D

    I knew about Goodreads and did know about it but didn't begin writing reviews until recently, mainly because my friend started it. New follower :)

    I joined GR a long time ago too. Heck, I think I joined back in 08 *gasps*. I just add books to lists and rate them, no comment/review though, so I took a while to actually participate in the blog-o-sphere too. New follower. You can find my FF here.

I actually discovered GoodReads after I started my blog (aren't I slow to discover the good stuff -wry smile-). but that's really awesome that people were already enjoying your reviews before the blog came!     I waited so long to start blogging- after hearing about it on GR- because at first I wondered why anyone would take away time from actually reading. Then once I got intrigued by it, it was just laziness, excuse making. All the normal reasons why people don't do things.

    LOL you crack me up. I was a huge GR fan and that's kind of what started me on the road to blogging as well. Yes, my first blog was horrible at first but I learned that time and effort made it work. I now have braved WP and feel like a new blogger all over again. :o( It was hard to lose my GFC's but the overall layout and posting is actually easier for me. So it is a win.
