Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course eBooks!
WELCOME BACK!
I know a whole lot of bloggers went to RT2015 this week, so, things have been mighty slow. Has anyone else but ME, never been to a major book convention like RT, or BEA, or ALA? If so, lets commiserate. Does anyone else feel scared about contacting a publisher directly and asking them for a copy of a book you really, really want? I was actually surprised by how easily one particular publisher was to work with. In fact, within 2 hours, I had a copy of the book I asked for on my Kindle! Yay me!

Don't feel bad about not attending a book convention Shelley. I'm sure one day you will get to go to one. Just hang in there. Looks like you got some interesting books this week. Descent looks amazing.

Oh, I'm not complaining at all. I have enough books to last me until my heart stops beating. It's way too much money for me anyway.
DeleteAwesome haul! I can't wait to read Devil's Pocket. Shadows of Aspodel sounds awesome. I'm also looking forward to Silver in the Blood. I usually go to BEA, but for only one day since I drive to NY from PA. Next year it's in Chicago, so I won't be able to go. I'm terrified to ask publishers for books. I hate rejection. I had an experience with a publisher recently that asked for my address to send books and I never got anything or heard from them after that. I'll just go with NetGalley and Edelweiss.

Hey Michelle! I have no idea why I'm so scared to send a request to publishers. I've been blogging for 4 years! What's the big issue? LOL
DeleteYes and yes Shelley! I don't think I've ever contacted a publisher directly.I haven't been to a convention either. Boo. On a positive note though I hope you enjoy the books you've got this week :-) My haul
