Feature & Follow Friday

Feature and Follow is a weekly meme sponsored
by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read!

Q: What one book or books would you be nervous to see as movie adaption of because you believe the movie could never live up to the book?

A. It actually took me awhile to come up with my answer to my own question! I was nervous over the Hunger Games until I actually saw it at the movie theatre. It did fine thank you very much. My next book I would love to see as a movie is the entire Downside series by Stacia Kane. Ok, so, it's not a book but a series. Then of course there is the Sirantha Jax series by Ann Aguirre that I would LOVE to see as a movie. Even if it were the first book of the series, I would be extremely happy.

So, you've read my long winded answer to the question. What is your answer?
I love new followers either via Linky or GFC!

  13. I really liked how well they pulled of The Hunger Games, it was a lot better than I hoped that it would be and they get points for managing to stay as close to the book as they can as far as the story itself goes. I've heard of both those series you mentioned, but I haven't read them yet. They'll definitely be put on my tbr list, soon. I think the books that I'd be a little afraid to see Hollywood get their hands on would be Wither and Fever by Lauren DeStefano. I have this clear picture in my head of the way I imagined both of those books and I'm afraid that it might get botched. lol.

Love your blog and you had such a great answer. Definitely following you, hopping through. Happy Friday! :)

  40. I thought the Hunger Games was good too. I noticed the stuff they left out but when I thought of the movie on it's own without comparing it to the book it was really good. Even comparing it to the book I think they did a good job.

  42. Those are some pretty good choices. It would be interesting to see what a movie would do to the stories. I am on the fence about adaptations because they don't always work. My own imagination is sometimes better at filling in the blanks than the movie is. I think a lot of it depends on the vision of the director and the understanding of both the book and the author's intentions. I am an old follower via GFC, so I followed via Linky this time. Congratulations on the follow this week!
