Gizmos Reviews - 15 Day Blogging Challenge Days 8, 9, & 10

Salutations and Greetings My Wonderful Friends, and Followers!
Today's Challenge is to get caught up!

Day 8: Write 15 bullet points of things that appeal to you on blogs!

  1. Clean blog design & layout where it doesn't have 50 things posted all at once.
  2. Clean sidebars
  3. Blogs that don't have music that automatically plays as soon as you arrive.
  4. A Search bar that is out in the open and not hidden.
  5. Guest posts by authors or author bloggers
  6. Social Icons - Where else can I follow you?
  7. Reviews that are edgy, funny, and sarcastic.
  8. How many Meme's does your blog participate in vs number of reviews.
  9. I like to see comments on reviews, and posts.
  10. Blogs that don't mind posting negative review without attacking the authors.
  11. Easy commenting access without Captcha. Captcha needs to die a painful death.
  12. Easy to read fonts that you can read and not need a magnifying glass in order to read.
  13. Easy to Navigate.
  14. A Blogger that posts regularly and not just once or twice a month.
  15. A Rating Scale. What does 3 Shoes actually mean?
Day 9 - Why do you Blog about Books?

I blog about books, because books are my passion, my life, my sanity savior, and of course, because as they say, if you can't life it yourself, why not live it through someone else's eyes? Blogging about books is a way for me to stay in contact with friends, make new contacts, especially among publishers, and authors, and provide an outlet other than Goodreads, or Amazon to post my opinions and thoughts.

Day 10 - How do you choose what book to read next?

This is a pretty simplistic answer, but, I have a list (word document) that has each and every single author that I follow. It lists the upcoming books and dates that they publish, it lists whether or not I have the book, or a publishers ARC, and normally I follow the list rather straight forward unless I happen to be on a blog tour that needs to jump ahead of the rest of the class. I also, surprise, have an excel spreadsheet that lists all of my publisher ARC's that need to be read prior to, or around the release date. Yes, I know, I have issues!

    1. Aww, it's nice to be loved :) Yeah, I'm a bit OCD when it comes to missing out on ARC release deadlines and posting my reviews. Of course, it doesn't do any good when you get books from publishers that you want to read NOW!
