Since Darcie met the immortals, she’s been attacked, kidnapped, bossed around, and tortured by an unknown ailment. Throw in Adir’s continued attempts to find her, as well as the realization that her long lost mother is really a witch, and Darcie’s life continues down the road of anything but ordinary.

The only thing saving her from complete despair is Des. While the acknowledgement of their feelings for one another has been a long time coming, the two still need to appear unattached or risk unknown repercussions from the immortal community. Her newest friends are adamant that she remains under the rebellion’s radar.

Now, with one of her best friends is in the hands of her enemy, Darcie will do anything she can to get her back. While under the brothers’ protection, she practices controlling her many abilities with the hope of using them to help rescue Bella. Her plan is hindered when trouble returns and her life is in the hands of the one person she swore to never depend on – her mother.

Envisioned is the third installment in author Samantha Britt's Immortal Chronicles. This story picks up 2 weeks after the ending of Ensnared. Even though Darcie Abernathy warned of an attack on Bella, she was too late to save her. Bella has now been missing for two weeks and is apparently with the enemy, Adir. Is she there willingly, or is she being kept apart from Thane? What's worse is that Darcie has 3 separate visions in 3 days and suffers from overstimulation of the mind. Darcie's life is no longer ordinary.

In fact, she's a witch with strong clairvoyant and cognizant abilities. Unfortunately, she's still a bit of an irksome and insecure teenager which continues to keep me from rating this series any higher than I have. As Darcie nears her 18th birthday, she's slowly burning herself out. Thanks to support from Alexander, Darcie learns that a clan of witches (Nightsbane) has been called upon to help Darcie learn her new magic before it flames out. With the arrival of Nightsbane, comes a shocking revelation. Jennifer Bane is one of the 7 most powerful witches in the world. She's also Marcie's mother.

Readers have already learned that Jennifer left her husband and daughter behind when Darcie was only a child of 4. What's worse, is that she didn't believe Darcie would have any powers and therefore put a dampening spell on any possiblity that her powers would appear. Thankfully, or not, the spell broke when she started hanging around the Immortals, includind Adir's constant attacks on her trying to discover what makes her so interesting.

This story also introduces readers to more characters like Lucas, pack leader of a Northwestern Pack, his daughter Paige who is one of the best scenters in the world. Gregory, Alexander's second in command and a vampire who connects with Darcie on a level that neither Alexander or Des has been able to do so. Could this be another member of the twisted triangle of love? Darcie ends up moving around from place to place while also learning her magic from her mother and Mistress Lola. They are trying to pick up Adir's trail as well as saving Bella.

Vampires Alexander and Gregory add a pick up to the series that it definitely needed. Alex is dark and mysterious but at the same time caring. Gregory is sweet, cute, and hot. Both vampires clearly care a lot for Darcie. Unfortunately, this book ends on a shocking betrayal was well as Darcie's life fundamentally changed forever thanks to Adir. It will be interesting to read about Des' reaction once he finds out, and what actions he takes against Des and those who betrayed Darcie. I also want to learn more about the Elder who makes a curious choice. Will this Elder be an ally, or playing a much longer game than once can currently see?

Onwards and upward to the finale!
