Hunter's Legion is the third and final installment in author Nicole Zoltack's Rebel, Supernatural Bounty Hunter series. Tiffany Rose, known better as Rebel, as done the impossible. She's hunted down those responsible for her parents deaths as well as his brother and his wife's. Unfortunately, she also reawakened one of the darkness evil's that the world has ever seen; Cain. Cain's followers, aka Cainian's purposefully targeted Tiffany's family because they wanted her to become the person she's become.
Tiffany, who has made plenty of enemies since she became Rebel, now has to come up with a game plan that includes every supernatural that she's either hunted, or made friends with. Her current list of friends is Vinca, Misty, Aeden, Darius, Jayden, and Wren who rebel owes a favor to. Not much of a friend, Wren. Not when she wants a certain powerful witch, Mirella Sharpe, who also happens to work for HEX-U which is a group of Hunters, Slayers, and Executioners. Not when she wants the President dead as a olive branch to Cain.
Back to Cain. Cain is history's first noted murderer. He killed his own brother out of spite, and was marked for life as being a murderer. He now wants to destroy the world and create a new one without any good or decent people remaining.
Then again, Rebel has killed more paranormals and sowed the seeds of chaos, more than anyone else so the boundaries between what is right and what is wrong is a thin red line. Cain teases her relentlessly throughout this story. He hints that every kill she committed blackens your soul and turns you into an unfeeling killing machine.
But, what will Rebel have to do in order to kill the unkillable? As biblical events happen all over the world, eruption of volcanoes, water turning into blood, locusts dropping from the sky, pestilence spreading globally, panic and chaos spreads quickly, Rebel knows her time is running out to save the world and her friends. It will become an all out war of survival for Rebel and her alliance of the willing that will take her all over the world and back in an effort to find that one artifact which can permanently kill Cain.
For those who have followed this author, she includes plenty of characters from her Blood Haven Academy and Moonstone Academy series. When all is said and done, this story has plenty of action, danger, shocking surprises, and a wee bit of romance thrown in. Rebel, who has no magic, is given a choice during the story. Become a person of magic, or remain human. The choice made was the right one. No spoilers.
