Top Ten Tuesday Featuring Top Ten Books I Wish Could Have Had Sequels

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic and we all share our thoughts on that topic!

This weeks Topic is:
Top Ten Books I Wish Could Have Had Sequels!

This topic was actually hard for me since I've done a BUNCH of back to back readings of books from various series. You could go several different ways with this topic; standalones, or those books that ended after 2 or 3 books.

1. Nomad by J.L. Bryan - I absolutely adored this standalone and have made the comment that I wish Bryan would revisit this world sometime soon.

2. Some Quiet Place by Kelsey Sutton - Even though this is clearly meant to be a standalone, doesn't mean that I wouldn't consider purchasing, or borrowing a sequel perhaps focusing on another character.

3. Outcast by Adrienne Kress - The ending to this story killed me. I really want more. I want more of the mythology that this story is based on. I want more of these characters because they interest me and kept me focused on the story.

4. The Friday Society by Adrienne Kress - Interesting that I've come across yet another story by Adrienne Kress that I feel deserves a second installment, or sequel.

5. She Returns from War by Lee Collins - This is supposedly a 2 part duology but I felt as though there were a whole bunch of different ways the story could continue including the fact that one of the characters travels back home to London to take on the monsters.

6. Reaper by L.S. Murphy - Interestingly, I really didn't hate this book, nor the ending. I felt as though I could always use another book that perhaps featured another character that could help Quincy and maybe expand their base.

7. Incarnation by Emma Cornwell - this was a really interesting story about Bram Skoker's Lucy Weston. I would not mind a sequel to this story since there were many questions left unanswered.

8. Taken By Storm by Jennifer Lynn Barnes - even though the ending is apparent as to what happens to Bryn, I still would like to have had a novella or short story detailing how her interaction with others transpires.

9. The Ripple Effect by J.A. Saare - I'm probably jumping the gun on this one since the author is supposedly writing a fourth novel. However, it needs to be said that there MUST be a sequel to The Ripple Effect asap!

10. Social Suicide by Gemma Halliday - This series ended after this book and I found that highly disappointed. I hate when publishers stop a series and won't let the author finish what he or she started.

11. Blood on The Bayou (Annabelle Lee) by Stacey Jay - Again, another series that was pulled by the publisher instead of allowing Stacey to finish her story. I really enjoyed this one and it tore my heart out when it ended abruptly without a clear cut ending.

  2. Great list! I'm so disappointed to read that there will be no more Annabelle Lee books from Stacey Jay. I recently read the first and loved it, not sure whether to read the second now as that's so sad that the story won't continue.

    My Top 10 Tuesday!

  6. Look at you, talking about all the books I've never read. Well, except for the J.A. Saare but I still have yet to read the third book. I enjoyed the first two but for some reason haven't had any desire to pick that one up. Maybe someday.

  7. Friday Society - still PISSEd that I didn't get approved for an ARC. Bah!

Incarnation - good to know this is stand-alone, I got a copy and less pressure of keeping up.

Annabelle Lee - ha! Another semi-good news as I have books 1 & 2. I hope she just chose the self-publishing world out of love for her fans.
