*Early Review* Cursed By Destiny (Weird Girls, #3) by Cecy Robson

*CURSED BY DESTINTY Blurb*

Celia Wird and her three sisters are just like other 20-something girls—with one tiny exception: they're products of a backfired curse that has given each of them unique powers that make them, well, weird…

Celia’s a girl in trouble. Her heart is bound to Aric, but he is a pureblood were who must deny her or risk condemning his species to extinction. And that’s just her love life. She’s also been called to take down a group of demon terrorists looking to overthrow the paranormal world. (No pressure.)

In order to bring them down, Celia must ally herself to Misha, the master vampire who has made no secret of his desire for her.

And if that weren’t enough misfortune for one girl, a clairvoyant’s prediction could destroy Celia and Aric’s love for good. The only way to protect the world from unbridled supernatural terrorism is for Celia to bind herself to her destined mate. And that doesn’t appear to be Aric…

*My Thoughts*

I should totally warn readers that before you read through this full review, you must know that I am absolutely a mess after reading Cursed by Destiny. So much so, that this is actually the third draft of my original review! I hesitated making outrageous commentary while huffing and puffing and tossing this book across the room more times than I cared to count.

As of this writing, I am glad that the po-po didn't come knocking on my door with all my utterly nonsensical screaming and bitching at certain characters, events, and especially the heart stopping ending which isn't all that surprising if you paid CLOSE attention to the events and characters of this book.

I will give Cecy loads of credit. She knows how to push the emotional envelope while entertaining her readers with a heart stopping full throttle story. She twists the story so much that in the end, it left me absolutely beyond understanding but demanding more! Celia and her Wird Sisters (Taran, Shayna, and Emme) are literally tossed out of the frying pan and into the fire and they don't really get a chance to catch their breaths before yet another surprise is thrown in their direction. The sisters all have their own challenges including Shayna who is experiencing some surprising after-effects of being saved by Koda and Emme who has a decision or two to make about her love life.

It is non-stop action when it comes to the big bad Tribe coming after Celia with everything they have because she is different from any other supernatural on record. Legends of old, things you've never heard of before, disgruntled weres, vampires, witches, and even people within her supposed support system that you can't trust them as far as you can throw them. You have no clue whether or not the person standing next to you is actually your friend, or the enemy who is seeking to destroy you because you may or may not have the means to permanently end the war.

As for the romance angle, readers of this series will definitely have their favorite between Aric and Misha. Then, if that weren't enough to keep you debating who is better for Celia, Cecy totally tosses you straight through a stained glass window by adding yet another character named Tye who attempts to charm his way into her life because of a prophecy. I will say that up until a certain point, I didn't feel that Aric was in the story enough while Misha had plenty of time to sway Celia. Misha definitely bided his time and did everything under the sun and moon in order to win Celia's heart away from Aric. Aric is a restless soul who is under severe restraints thanks to the AWFUL were elders and thus he makes mistakes and stupid choices. He does have other choices, but I'm not sure if Cecy is willing to go that route just yet.

Just a fair warning to readers, I would absolutely suggest that you put away as much time as possible in order to read this book without stopping to do other things. Cecy is a true demon child who has broken my heart so many times and she goes the extra distance in Cursed by Destiny. I am not sure how I can go on without a bit of hope for a bright future for Celia and her sisters and especially the men they love. Cecy has left me in tatters and the only way I know how to fix this, is to have the next book in my greedy little hands immediately if not sooner!

I received Cursed by Destiny direct from the publisher in lieu of an honest review. No monies were paid me in advance.
