Emma Whisperer’s journey continues in this sequel to the Extinction series. Emma, the last eighteen-year–old in Territory L, finally escapes Territory L and makes it into Territory M. She tries to find her niece, Abigail, and searches for the leader of Territory M to see if the walls can come down.
Journey to Territory M is the second installment in author LJ Epps Extinction of All Children trilogy. In a place called Craigluy, which apparently exists between Arizona and California, a President has determined that the "country" will be divided into three territories for the lower class, middle-class, and the upper class. In 2080, she determined that no more babies were allowed to be born in the lower-class territory. Any baby born would be killed and parents punished with no chance at appealing her decision.
This policy of infanticide has worked. Until Emma Whisperer turned 18. Emma is the last child legally born in Territory L. Emma made it her mission to challenge the status quo, which led to her attempting to escape to Territory M. This story picks up right where Extinction of All Children finished. Emma thought escaping from Territory L would solve all of her problems. She and her friends Eric & Julian soon find out that escaping to Territory M is not all she
envisioned it would be.
She's still searching for her niece, Abigail, who may have been illegally adopted
rather than killed. She also hopes to talk to the unknown leader of
Territory M in hopes that they will help her in her quest to tear down
the walls. With President
Esther and her henchman Rich nipping at their heels at every turn, and a massive manhunt or Emma, things don't go exactly as she had planned. There's an underlying story behind Esther's thoughts when it comes to her actions regarding Emma. No, I won't spoil it.
This book pretty much is a story of running and hiding. Duck and covering. Finding a new group called Runaways proves that you can't always trust those you meet. It is a story of how much things in M are really different from where Emma was raised. But, there were times that the story felt a bit disconnected, and I am sorry to say, I want a whole lot of characters to die in the most agonizing way.

Emma Whisperer’s journey continues in the third and final book in the Extinction series. Emma Whisperer and her friends are given ten days by President Esther to get their petitions signed to see if the people of Territory U agree with the walls being torn down. They can freely walk through the territory and talk to people.
What is life like in Territory U? Will the people of Territory U be accepting of their message?
Journey to Territory U is the third and final installment in author L.J. Epps Extinction of All Children trilogy. This story continues right where Journey to Territory M left off. Emma and a few of her friends, Theo, Eric, Samuel, Logan, and Whitney who joined the group in the previous book, have found their way through the gates to Territory U. Emma is given 10 days to find enough signatures in bringing down the walls that separate the three territories.
Will the people of Territory U be accepting of her message, or is this a game to President Esther so that she can proceed with an even more nefarious path forward for the people of Craigluy? As Emma's group explores Territory U, they find that things aren't really that clear. Yes, people here are more wealthy, and they are able to adopt and have babies. But, there is a disturbance in the air that will lead to questions as to who will be living when all is said and done.
Will Emma find and save Abigail? Will she save the people of Territory L? Or, will certain truths destroy her spunky spirit and good heart? Emma’s final journey brings about new challenges and revelations. Will these new discoveries weaken her or make her stronger? President Esther has even more in store for Emma than she could ever imagine. Will Rich get his revenge against Emma? Will President Esther win in the end?
As a summary, this trilogy was entertaining, but there's no comparing it the Hunger Games. I am kind of disappointed that nobody has asked the question. What happened to the rest of the US? If you are saying that this group decided to cut off from the rest of the country and build their own country separating it into 3 separate territories, then explain why nobody has attempted to escape to the other states. After all, Arizona and California are mentioned, and there are obvious signs that the same tech that we use now, is still in use in this story.
