Waiting on Wednesday 12/12/2012

"Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at “Breaking the Spine”, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This weeks selection is...Apollyon (Covenant # 4)
Expected publication: April 9th, 2013 by Spencer Hill Press

Reason I am waiting on this book.

If you haven't already read Deity, plus Elixir, then you are missing out on yet another JLA roller coaster ride. JLA knows how to leave readers wanting more action, more suspense, and of course, more romance. Besides, I can't wait to read about what happens between Alex, Aiden, and Seth!

Fate isn’t something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.

    1. Me too! I figure that once your on the list they don't take you off, but, since they're looking for a certain amount of page views now, I'm probably off :(

  2. I freaking love the cover of this book. I haven't read any of the books in this series but I have read the Lux series and I really like Armentrout's writing. I'll have to give this series a go one day. Great pick, Shelley!

  3. I need to jump on the bandwagon one of these days and read this series like everyone else in the world. lol This series really has some gorgeous covers though!
